I’m opening my art studio as part of the Medlock Park Studio Stroll with 8 other neighborhood artists for an open house on Saturday, November 12, from 10am-4pm.
I’ll have all my work out, from large statements pieces all the way down to miniatures that make great gifts.
I’ll have maps that lead you to the other art studios that will also be open.

MEDLOCK PARK STUDIO STROLL
Come Stroll local artist studios for the first Medlock Park Art Studio Stroll on Saturday, November 12 from 10am-4pm.
Go behind the scenes to visit eight local artists who are opening their studios for a neighborhood open house. All are welcome!
Stroll and see a variety of art and styles: representational and abstract paintings, glass works, ceramics, sculpture and photography.
Original pieces will be available, including small items for great holiday gifts. Five percent of the sales will be donated to Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve.
Maps will be available in person at checkin. Studios are primarily located on Harrington Drive and Woodridge Drive in Medlock Park.

ARTIST BIOS
KRISTA GRECCO is a full-time ceramic sculptor. Her work is expressive and emotional, a layered narrative spoken through flora, fauna, and figure. The natural world is important to her process, she can be found each day sharing the wonder and joy of nature with her son. Grecco’s sculptures are included in numerous public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe including Ariana Museum of Ceramics and Glass in Geneva, Switzerland, and Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, GA. HARRIET GOLD: I’m an eclectic potter I use a variety of techniques to create functional and decorative pieces of art. I especially enjoy the spontaneity and uniqueness of the Raku style. I create my work at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. At Callanwolde, I have an opportunity to use many methods for firing pottery: Raku, Soda, Salt, Cone 10 gas and Cone 6 electric. My work is wheel thrown, sometimes altered or hand built, and made of porcelain or stoneware. “I have two favorite methods for decorating my pottery. The first method is carving, incising designs into the pottery. My second is a method of decorating I started 27 years ago while I was creating designs in a sketchbook. My designs are a free flow of intersecting lines, geometric shapes and patterns. As the drawing develops, I sometimes see a representation of animals, birds, humans or flower shapes. As the shapes emerge, I enhance them and find that I have created archetypal works of art that are then conveyed in some of my pottery designs. CRISTINA MONTESINOS is a third generation Latin American artist living and working in Atlanta. Now a full-time painter, she spent 25 years as a graphic designer and creative director. Born and raised in Costa Rica in a large, tricultural family of artists, Cristina has a rich foundation for her work and life as an international artist. Notably, Cristina’s work was recently featured on hundreds of billboards across Atlanta as part of a juried exhibition. MADELINE L. REAMY is a trained and experienced artist who studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA and Schiller College in Paris, France where she earned her BFA. She later received an MFA from Syracuse University in Museology (museum studies). After graduation, she worked in museum education for 15 years including an internship at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, then through jobs in Atlanta at the High Museum of Art, The Atlanta History Center, and many others. Her love of the connections between art, history and science led her to leadership positions in environmental organizations beginning in 1992, most recently as Executive Director of EarthShare Georgia where she served for 15 years until the end of September 2021. Since 2021 she has been working both as a nonprofit consultant and especially as a freelance artist, focusing on representational paintings of the moon and sky. BECKY WELTY has worked as a glass hobbyist/artist for 40 years. She began with a beginner’s class in stained glass and went on to teach herself and design original pieces. About 20 years ago she attended a wood turning class at John Campbell Folk School and found herself more interested in the fused glass class in the next building. She bought the instructor’s book, ordered a kiln and fusible glass, and began experimenting. Her glass work shifted from stained glass to fused glass and glass mosaics. For the present she has settled into flowers as a theme for her work. Becky’s original glass creations are sold at Wild Oats and Billy Goats in Decatur GA and New Smyrna Beach, FL.
CHRISTOPHER RADCLIFFE founded a marketing / communications company 25 years ago specializing in comprehensive brand / identity solutions for multinational companies and non-profit organizations. Throughout this timeframe he has continually explored the creative arts and architectural design. In addition to his recently designed and built studio, Chris will display some of his original photography, screen printed mixed medium art works on premium museum quality pigment prints.
PEGGY ALBERS has been a functional and sculptural clay potter and sculptor for nearly 25 years. A large part of her workfeatures animals, a passion of hers. Peggy’s pottery is inspired by folk art and is visible in the whimsey and wonder of the animals. Peggy’s functional work includes bowls, tumblers, yunomis, coffee mugs, and plates. These pieces are high-fired and glazed to food-safe quality.
JOANNE KENT has been taking photographs since a Polaroid Land Camera fell into her hands at age 8. Fascinated with the technical aspects, as well as the art of photography, Joanne’s love for photography grew stronger with each new camera she acquired. Joanne uses a meditative approach to her photography by taking her time to get to know her subjects deeply. Joanne believes that an absolute presence, shared experiences, and deep connections, are life’s most rewarding experiences. Through her photography, Joanne sets out to share this authentic feeling of a moment in a place and time with the viewer. Joanne holds a BFA in Film/Video and a Master’s degree in Education. She has an Etsy shop where she sells her art photography and is also available to teach photography workshops and private lessons to all ages. www.joannekentphotography.com
