Natural Energy is one of my initial sketches as part of my Covid Walks Series. Inspired by my daily walks and meditations in the Georgia woods in early March (at the beginning of the pandemic), it captures a sense of lightness, hope and life. When our world went on lockdown and we all had to learn how to do everything differently in order to survive this sudden health crisis, walking through a nearby nature preserve was the only way I was able to survive mentally. My walks grounded me, kept me in the present moment and reminded me of the mystery of nature which is powerful, hopeful and healing.
